I can attest to the fact that it works fabulously as a diaper rash treatment! Also, I live in Panama and the ladies here use coconut oil for an endless variety of things. I know they use it to raise the metabolism as you mentioned, they also use it for anyone that is sick and can't seem to shake whatever they have got. They say that about 9 times out of 10, taking the coconut oil in pure form will knock out the illness. - Ruth Thank you for the great information regarding coconut oil.
