My Big Book of Stickers Fun and Educational Activity Book

Stickers and education don’t belong together!  Or, do they?  We have had a great time using this book and it has reinforced many preschool concepts without much planning.

The reason I purchased this book was for those times when I didn’t get the chance to plan out a specific lesson for my preschoolers.  I have also been using it as a supplemental resource for when they finish my lesson plan sooner than I thought.  Or, its nice to have for times when I am busy and they are bored, such as while I bathe the baby or the occasional necessary phone call.  One reviewer on Amazon mentioned using the entire book at once on an airplane ride.

The pictures are wonderfully bright and exciting.  Before we begin any kind of “structured” work with the book, I have to give the kids a few moments to look at the pages we will be covering or they get distracted by the colorful, real life photos.  I really like that it is completely made up of real-life photos instead of hand-drawn pictures.

The book includes 400 different stickers.  Each page in the book has many different photos, some of which are just an outline – you fill in the outline with the sticker.  The children match the outline with what they see on the sticker.

The stickers for each section are easy to find since they are located close to that section. They are not all loaded onto several pages at the back of the book!

The publisher says the stickers are reusable, but I tend to disagree.  If you accidentally put it in the wrong place, you can easily pull it up right away and move it with no problems or lost stickiness.  But, if the sticker has been on for a day or so, you won’t be able to pull it off without taking some paper or leaving behind some sticker glue.

The subjects include:

  • ABC’s – one page for each letter
  • Animals – a few of the categories of animals include (one category per page)
    • Colorful Animals

As you can see, this book is a great supplement or lesson reinforcement as it covers so many topics.  We have stretched out the use of this book quite a bit – I think we have had it for about a year and have not gotten through all of it yet.  We only do a page or two each time we sit down with it.  Since we’ve used it so sparingly, they get really excited when they see me take the books out.

We were able to purchase them very inexpensively at Amazon, so we have two of them, one for each of our preschoolers. If you think your little ones would enjoy this book, you would be supporting this site by clicking the photo below to purchase the book from Amazon.
